New Year, New goals. But did you achieve your goals last year or did they go by the wayside?
A lot of people make the resolution to exercise more, lose weight or both. What happens to keep people from reaching their goals? Lack of a plan, going to hard , too fast way to soon and trying to make massive changes on day one. It makes it to hard to stay the course as massive life changes are attempted and when they don’t stick people feel like failures. They become defeated and quit.
How to avoid it?
1. Start at 50% or less
2. Make one change at a time.
3. Stick with the basics. Squats, presses, deadlifts and some easy cardio.
4. Make one dietary change a day. Start simple, add a piece of fruit, cut out one piece of bread at meals.
Make it easy on yourself and stay steady and consistent. (Consistency is the real secret.)
